The normal (as far as I know) black nickel saxophone finish is an extremely thin layer of actual plating, probably the thinnest of all platings used in sax finishes. Please be careful with solvents like vinegar or even piping hot water. These can discolor a mouthpiece. I would not use toothpaste because it is slightly abrasive. Just use luke warm water with a SOFT toothbrush. Remember to clean your mouthpiece once a week or as needed.Review for legere reeds. I just got my Legere 2.75 alto sax reed in today, my first synthetic reed. It really surprised me. It is very free blowing, but mabye because its a little soft to my liking.
